SMALLab Trainer

Description:

We are seeking a passionate trainer to deliver workshops for K-12 educators across the US. In this role, you’ll deliver in-person training workshops for SMALLab teachers, technologists, and curriculum specialists. You’ll collaborate with curriculum designers to create SMALLab courses. In short, you’ll have a direct and positive impact on K-12 students and teachers for years to come!

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to K-12 schools in the US to deliver in-person SMALLab training workshops Successful candidate must be willing to travel on a monthly basis

  • Train K-12 teachers to use SMALLab, to deliver effective inquiry learning, and to integrate our activities with their curricula

  • Collaborate with our curriculum team to align SMALLab activities with our schools’ curricula

  • Communicate with schools and districts to prepare for training sessions

  • Maintain accurate training records

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills with an infectious passion for technology, teaching, and learning

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, communications, or a related field of study

  • Experience developing and delivering K-12 teacher training programs

  • Proficient with a variety of educational technologies including web-based tools and Windows OS

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

  • Ability to travel on a monthly basis

Desired Qualifications:

  • K-12 classroom teaching or related experience

  • Experience working with state/national standards & designing K-12 curricula

  • Advanced degree in education, marketing, communications or a related field of study

The successful candidate will work remotely, but must be willing to travel on a monthly basis. Candidates must be located near the East Coast, in proximity to a large airport.

This position will begin on a contract basis with the option to grow into a full time role.
